About this record
Released in 2001, Big Boi and Dre Present… Outkast is a career-spanning collection that traces the Atlanta duo’s evolution from Southern hip-hop pioneers to genre-defying superstars. The album brings together defining tracks such as “Player’s Ball,” “Elevators (Me & You),” “Rosa Parks,” “B.O.B.,” “Ms. Jackson,” and “So Fresh, So Clean,” alongside three then-new songs: “Funkin’ Around,” “Movin’ Cool (The After Party),” and the Grammy-winning “The Whole World,” featuring Killer Mike. Funky, inventive, soulful, and endlessly charismatic, the collection showcases Big Boi’s sharp, grounded flow and André 3000’s eccentric imagination while celebrating the remarkable run that made Outkast one of hip-hop’s most influential groups.
