Your Old Droog returns with Bread & Butter, a sharp and reflective album rooted in resilience, perspective and self-determination. Inspired in part by memories of his Ukrainian immigrant family stretching caviar across slices of bread, the record turns personal history into a wider meditation on making the most of what you have.
Across the album, Droog reflects on the turbulence of rap success, youthful memories and the realities of navigating the industry, all delivered with his trademark dense rhyme schemes and dry wit. Production comes from Flying Lotus, Conductor Williams, Ohbliv, J-Es, Roper Williams, Cartune Beatz, Matt To The Future and K-Nite 13, with guest appearances from Evidence, Oddisee, Masta Ace, A-Reece, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Kim Hill and Georgia Anne Muldrow.
