College Dropout

Kanye West’s landmark 2004 debut The College Dropout helped reshape early-2000s hip-hop with its blend of soulful samples, sharp humour, personal storytelling and socially conscious themes. Exploring religion, family, ambition, education and everyday struggles, the album established West as both an innovative producer and a distinctive artist in his own right.

Featuring classics including “Jesus Walks,” “All Falls Down,” “Through the Wire” and “Slow Jamz,” alongside appearances from Jay-Z, Common, Talib Kweli, Twista, Jamie Foxx, Ludacris and Mos Def, The College Dropout remains one of the defining hip-hop albums of its era.
