Ras V

Ras V — short for Recognize A Soulja — is a concise, hard-edged statement from Def Soulja, released via Social Misfit LLC. South Carolina born and Bronx raised, the MC brings over a decade of experience into a project that stays true to his core: raw lyricism, grounded perspective, and unapologetic authenticity.

Drawing from the lineage of Styles P, Beanie Sigel, and Prodigy, Def Soulja delivers with clarity and intent, blending street realism with themes of identity, resilience, and spiritual awareness. The production is stripped-back and purposeful—heavy drums, dark loops, and subtle dub textures—keeping the focus squarely on the message.

Guest appearances from BVNGS, Teeg Austin, and Zeek The Prophet add depth without disrupting the album’s cohesion, each complementing the project’s serious tone.

Following a strong run of performances and industry recognition, Ras V reinforces Def Soulja’s commitment to timeless, substance-driven hip-hop—music designed to resonate beyond the moment.
