About this record

Diggin’ Electric Bird: Selected By Muro is a 2LP compilation curated by Japanese DJ, producer and renowned record digger MURO. Drawing from the catalogue of influential Japanese jazz and fusion label Electric Bird, the collection highlights a deeper, groove-oriented side of the imprint, moving beyond straight jazz into mellow funk, fusion and club-friendly territory.

The selection features artists including Toshiyuki Miyama & The New Herd, Shunzo Ohno, Katsutoshi Morizono, Toshiyuki Honda and Motoaki Masuo. Presented as a Japanese pressing with obi, the compilation offers both longtime listeners and newer collectors a fresh way into the Electric Bird catalogue.
