Get It Out 'cha System

Millie Jackson – Get It Out’cha System (LP)

Released in 1978, Get It Out’cha System captures Millie Jackson at her most fearless, outspoken, and emotionally raw. Known for blending Southern soul, funk, disco grooves, and her trademark spoken-word storytelling, Jackson delivers a bold and unapologetic album packed with sharp humor, heartbreak, empowerment, and social commentary.

Featuring standout tracks like “Go Out And Get Some (Get It Out’cha System),” “A Fool’s Affair,” and “If You're Not Back In Love By Monday,” the album showcases Jackson’s unmatched ability to move between deep soul ballads and fiery, no-holds-barred performances. Her candid lyricism and commanding voice helped make her one of the most distinctive artists of the 1970s soul era.

A classic for fans of funk, disco-infused soul, and powerful vocal performances, Get It Out’cha System remains one of Millie Jackson’s most celebrated releases.
