Le Cercle Biblique Evangelique C.B.E

We’re proud to present the first-ever official reissue of Les Nkenda—a transcendent spiritual gem from 1982, originally released in the Republic of Congo on the ultra-obscure Adamsol Record Edition label. Conceived by the Cercle Biblique Évangélique (C.B.E.) of Pointe-Noire and produced by Adam Julien Koubemba, this rare release has remained a “holy grail” among collectors of African gospel, psychedelic funk, and spiritual folk for decades.

Fully remastered from the original tapes and reissued on vinyl for the first time, Les Nkenda is more than a rediscovery—it’s a revelation. Fusing multilingual gospel vocals with Afro-Latin rhythms, soulful funk, and tripped-out psychedelic grooves, this singular album channels the raw emotional power of 1980s Congo through a deeply spiritual lens.

The music is alive with polyrhythmic energy, hypnotic melodies, and a fiercely independent spirit—crafted outside of commercial pressures and now revived for a new generation of seekers, collectors, and sonic explorers.

Limited edition – A landmark reissue for fans of African gospel, rare psych, and spiritual deep cuts.
