Modern Way

Originally released in 1981, Modern Way is one of Teddy Lasry’s most forward-thinking and refined creations—an essential entry in the canon of French electronic and jazz-fusion. Blending analog synthesizer mastery with cinematic storytelling, the album bridges sonic futures and soulful atmospheres with elegance and experimentation.

A former core member of Magma and a low-key pioneer of French cosmic music, Lasry carved out a solo path that explored science fiction textures, synthetic dreamscapes, and avant-garde film scoring. Modern Way captures him at a creative peak—channeling space funk, proto-electro, and futuristic library cues into a sound world of pulsing machines, neon cities, and imagined futures.

Each track on this rare record evokes a vivid scene: urban tension, mechanical grace, surreal momentum. Whether you're a fan of vintage electronics, ambient jazz, or moody instrumentals, this is a must-have artifact of early '80s sonic vision.
