Radio

Pressed on Static Grey Colored Double Vinyl!

Limited to 200 Hand-Numbered Units Worldwide!

From static to symphony, Exile sculpts radio waves into a sonic masterclass. More than just an instrumental album, Radio is a concept-driven exploration of media, meaning, and memory. Originally released on February 24, 2009, this marks the first-ever vinyl reissue, arriving nearly 17 years later as a definitive return to one of Exile’s most celebrated statements.

Built from snippets of live AM and FM broadcasts, Exile turns the dial into a living archive, flipping talk radio, call-ins, and late-night paranoia into the album’s backbone. The voices shape the mood, shifting between humor, dread, and hope as the sequencing moves like a scan across stations. Anchored by Exile’s signature drum swing and soulful chops, each track lands fully formed, with transitions and recurring motifs that keep the world of Radio dialed in.

Remastered for this vinyl reissue, Radio delivers a noticeable upgrade in definition and balance, allowing the details in Exile’s sample work to come through with more precision.

The tracklist is also expanded with bonus material drawn from Exile’s 2010 companion project, AM/FM, a creative reinterpretation that paired guest vocal features over Radio’s instrumentals. Highlights include “Love Line” featuring Blu, remixes by Knxwledge and Samiyam, and the vocal version of “It’s Coming Down” featuring The Alchemist and Evidence.

With this deluxe vinyl pressing, Coalmine Reissues presents a thoughtfully curated tribute to a modern producer classic.
