Reality Has Got Me Tied Up

Reality Has Got Me Tied Up is the 1995 debut album from The Dove Shack, the Long Beach trio closely associated with the G-funk movement and Death Row Records era. Featuring smooth, melodic vocals layered over laid-back West Coast production, the album captures the sun-soaked yet street-rooted sound that defined mid-90s California hip-hop. With standout production from Warren G and guest appearances including Nate Dogg, this release blends funk-driven grooves, soulful hooks, and reflective storytelling — a certified West Coast classic.
